Get to know us

We started as a small interior design firm in downtown Michigan, aiming to help home buyers make do with the new space that they had acquired. It soon became obvious that it would make sense to help our clients see beyond the walls and floor plans and be there with them from the get-go. Currently, we offer house realtor, interior design, and architecture services in order to help our customers find their forever homes as seamlessly and painlessly as possible.

Frequently asked questions

What is The Family Studio?

The Family Studio is a creative space where art and healing come together. We use visual art, graphic design, and storytelling to help individuals navigate grief, loss, and emotional challenges. Our goal is to foster connection, reflection, and restoration through creativity.

Do I need to be an artist to participate?

Not at all! Our approach is about self-expression, not artistic skill. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, we guide you through the process in a way that feels natural and personal.

Who can benefit from your services?

Anyone looking for a transformative experience through art. Whether you’re dealing with grief, stress, or past trauma, or you simply want to strengthen relationships, The Family Studio provides a safe and supportive space for self-expression and healing.

How does art help with emotional healing?

Art allows for non-verbal expression, helping to process emotions that are difficult to put into words. It fosters self-discovery, mindfulness, and deeper connections with yourself and others. Our guided process ensures you feel supported as you explore your thoughts and emotions.

What services do you offer?

We offer a range of creative experiences, including:

  • Personalized art therapy-inspired sessions

  • Custom visual storytelling to help process emotions

  • Workshops and group experiences for families, couples, and individuals

Can this help improve relationships?

Yes! Whether it’s family dynamics, friendships, or romantic relationships, creative expression can open up new ways to communicate, understand, and reconnect.

What does a typical session look like?

Each session is tailored to the individual or group’s needs but typically includes:

  • A brief conversation about your goals and emotions

  • A guided creative exercise (painting, digital storytelling, or mixed media)

  • Reflection and discussion on the artwork’s meaning

  • Practical steps for applying insights to everyday life

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! While in-person experiences are available in select locations, we also offer virtual sessions where we guide you through a creative process from the comfort of your home.
