Get to know us

At The Family Studio, we believe in the power of creativity to heal, connect, and restore. Life’s challenges—grief, trauma, and loss—can be difficult to process, but art offers a safe, expressive, and transformative outlet for emotions that words often cannot capture.

Founded by Andrew Archer, The Family Studio was created as a space of hope and healing for families and individuals seeking a way to navigate their emotional journeys. Through guided art therapy sessions, creative workshops, and therapeutic resources, we help people rediscover their strengths, mend relationships, and embrace new beginnings—one brushstroke at a time.

Whether you're looking for a personalized healing session, a family bonding experience, or creative tools to support your journey, we’re here to walk alongside you with compassion, understanding, and the belief that healing is always possible.

Our Mission

At The Family Studio, our mission is to provide a safe, creative, and supportive space where individuals and families can:

  • process grief

  • heal from trauma

  • and strengthen connections

and all through the power of art. We believe that creativity is a transformative tool for self-expression, emotional growth, and community healing, and we are committed to making it accessible to those who need it most.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every family has the opportunity to heal, connect, and thrive through creative expression. By fostering a culture of inclusivity, artistic empowerment, and emotional well-being, we aim to become a leading resource for healing through art—helping individuals and communities transform their pain into purpose, their grief into growth, and their stories into strength.

Our Guide

Andrew Archer is a Therapeutic Art Guide dedicated to helping individuals process emotions, heal from past wounds, and cultivate inner peace through creative expression. Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Andrew moved to Atlanta for his undergraduate studies before transferring to Birmingham-Southern College, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. His journey led him to integrate art, spirituality, and emotional wellness, earning a Master of Divinity degree from Phillips School of Theology at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

With years of experience as a grief counselor and spiritual care provider, Andrew has worked extensively with individuals facing emotional distress, loss, and life transitions. He specializes in using art as a therapeutic tool, creating safe spaces for healing that honor each person’s unique story. His approach is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and a belief in the transformative power of creativity.

Andrew works with people from all walks of life, offering guided art experiences that promote self-discovery and emotional resilience. He believes that art has the power to heal the brokenhearted, bridge divides, and restore hope—regardless of ability, nationality, race, gender, or background.

Beyond his work, Andrew enjoys visiting his hometown, reading, and creating his own therapeutic art. He and his wife, a PhD student at Emory’s School of Sociology, are raising their two children with an emphasis on self-confidence, kindness, and creative exploration.
